dc.description.abstractEn el presente estudio se evaluó la eficacia in vitro de Cordyceps (Beauveria) bassiana en el control biológico de Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus, Se recolectaron garrapatas hembras adultas pletóricas (0.200-0.250 gr.) de bovinos de la provincia de Ricaurte en el departamento de Boyacá, a las cuáles se les aplico la técnica de inmersión de adultas de Drummond durante 60 segundos con tres concentraciones del hongo, 104 esporas/ml, 106 esporas/ml y 108 esporas/ml, en el tratamiento control se utilizó agua destilada. La concentración de 108 esporas/ml fue la que presentó los mejores resultados en cada una de las variables evaluadas: presencia de micosis (100%), garrapatas muertas por tratamiento (30/30), efecto sobre la reproducción estimada (60,17%), disminución de la ovoposición (40,33%) y porcentaje de eclosión de huevos (24,33%). La efectividad presentada por C. (B.) bassiana sobre R. (B.) microplus abre la opción a un nuevo método de control para los problemas causados por garrapatas dentro de las explotaciones bovinas.spa
