Abstract
The stability of the structures that exceed the six levels, in the soils of the lacustrine deposit of the city of Bogotá, is guaranteed by deep foundations as pilings in group; that is why in the design stage should be taken into account the analysis of bearing capacity, settlements and analysis before lateral loads such as earthquakes, because before the occurrence of such events, there is an increase in deflections
and bending moments in the piles, which in the case of being excessive can generate their failure.
In this work an analysis of the behavior of deflections, shear and bending moments for different groups of piles with different separations is presented, before the occurrence of nine earthquakes with different frequency, by means of the analysis of finite elements in 3D, for a sector of the deposit lake of the city of Bogotá located
between 83 street and 93 street with Av. Carrera 11.
For the models, circular section piles with a diameter of 40 cm are taken into account, and of the bearing capacity analyzes, piles are defined at 25.00 m, and 3 typical piles of 2x2, 3x3 and 4x2 piles, spaced by three, are considered. different ways 3, 5 and 7 times the diameter, for each source of earthquake giving in total 81 models. The stratigraphic profile was characterized, with 4 mechanical drilling at 50.00m, 5 tests of CPTu at 30.00 m and 2 tests of Down Hole at 30.00m, where each of the soil parameters for clays was defined with the modified Cam Clay model and in sands with Mohr Coulomb, and finally, the seismic signals were selected and scaled according to FOPAE 2010 recommendations.
Finally, by means of the analysis with finite elements in 3D, observations of the behavior of the piles in group are obtained, where the deflection, the shear force and the bending moment decrease for a same group when it is found with greater separation, the influence of the different seismic sources in the groups of piles, giving
as a result that the behavior is more linked to the characteristics of the seismic signal than to the type of source. It is expected that the results presented here will serve as very useful and pertinent information for the local geotechnical community.
