Abstract
Eng: Mathematics, more than an area of study, is an essential tool for man to understand his reality. For this reason, the development of mathematical thinking is fundamental, it is a preponderant role to solve everyday problems. In this way, the present project is the product of the qualitative research process, in which its main objective was to promote mathematical thinking through magic, humor and creativity as a pedagogical strategy in children of third grade of primary school in the Institution Educational Juan José Reyes Patria, from the municipality of Gámeza, Francisco de Caldas Campus, based on the constructivist pedagogical model. In this process the action research was addressed. The diagnosis was taken as a starting point, where
different instruments and data collection techniques were applied such as: test adapted by the author, Milton Ochoa test, observation, field diary and questionnaire, all aimed at discovering the situation of mathematical thinking in its aspects of exploration, conjecture, testing and demonstration, as well as their level of understanding. Based on the findings found, the strategy theoretically supported by Conde (2014) in magic, Cantoral (2005) and Llinares (2010) mathematical thinking, creativity by Sequera (2007) and humor by Pelayo (2009) is oriented.
In the implementation of didactic sequences as a mathematical activity, the students were building their own knowledge and being, which allowed to go overcoming the low levels towards the basic and high in each one of the thoughts. In the aspects from the exploration to the demonstration the progress was significant in the midst of laughter and fun overcoming difficulties of mathematical thought.
